Camp Harmony (:

5. INTERPRET- HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE THE MOOD OF THE PPL ON THE BUS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY TO CAMP HARMONY? AT THE END OF THE JOURNEY?
In the beginning paragraph the author described the bus being gravely silent except for the crying of the baby and the singing from the university students. I think that the people on the bus were having anxious feelings. There was a little burst of excitement, but there were also stress covered inside the vehicle. Maybe people were wondering what they would encounter and what would they deal with situations differ. They just probably thought too much. (:
At the end of the journey, when they all went out of the bus and into Camp Harmony, the anxiety present  before had somewhat disappeared. The excitement was larger now. They even felt fortunate to have a room and cheered loudly.

MIXED ECONOMY

Imagine a world where you have to obey other people’s orders even though you do not want to. Or a world where everyone can do whatever they want to do freely, which leads to complete chaos. Sounds bad, huh? Well, mixed economy is a combination between those two worlds; it contains the positive features of both. The government gives their people the rights to decide for themselves while watching over them, therefore, it affects people’s lives positively.
First of all, mixed economy gives their citizens freedom. Every single person has the right to decide what they need, and does not have to be forced by anyone. Although, people might not know what to do and get stuck, but it is a good idea to just let them figure it out on their own, without depending on anyone. For example, in the short story “Stop The Sun”, there was a war between Vietnam and the United States. Vietnamese people wanted to fight to protect their country when the Americans attacked, and they could, with the government approving. In the end, the Vietnamese won. This shows that they all had the rights to go up against what they hate and fight freely for what they love; and that is a positive thing.
Second of all, it is safe. The government creates laws to protect consumers and manage produces and services. The government and the people make decisions together. All the materials that are exported and imported the country have to be examined and controlled by the government. For example, if a fisherman wants to trade his fish with someone else’s rice from another faraway country, he has to have the government’s permission. If the government finds out the rice is poisoned, the fisherman can’t trade. This proves that the government in mixed economy has good intentions of protecting their people. This is why USA has the best economy and life standard.
Also, mixed economy is a major economy on Earth; it appears in most countries, including USA. The US has high inflation right now. The federal reserve bank just created new money to buy debt last year for the housing crisis. Their government, too, has made rules for their citizens to obey, such as the prices of the gasoline, employees, and other wages individuals earn. It has been trying to become a mixed economy. That was why the US was a very developed country.
Mixed economy is a mixture between command economy (an strict, harsh economy ruled by the government) and market economy (a free economy where everyone has the right to decide). Mixed economy has a great effect on people’s lives by giving them freedom and protection. Everyone needs freedom to be happy, and to enjoy their lives but they also need safety; a mixed economy provides citizens with both so these benefits.
